VORTEX COMPRESSOR – Compressed Air Filters

G-Power Filter Series (24 – 2620 m³/h)

Vortex Compressed Air Filters have been designed to answer the current requirements of the compressed air filter world. It enables more comfortable usage for end users, better endurance, higher efficiency with lower pressure drop, and more port size options.

Filtration: Due to the usage of the deep pleating technique, the filtration area has increased remarkably, leading to better filtration and higher dirt holding capacity. Vortex Compressed Air Filters are engineered to remove airborne contamination in a compressed air stream, delivering energy-efficient operation and reliable performance.

Features

  • 4 efficiency ranges removing down to 0.01 micron at up to 235 psi (16 barg).
  • Pipe sizes ranging from 1/4″ to 3″ NPT/BSP.
  • Protected auto float drain (2mm orifice) as standard for reliable liquid contaminant removal.
  • Zero-porosity aluminum casing with durable epoxy powder-coat finish and corrosion-resistant internal coating for long service life.
  • Complies with PED standards and performs as per related ISO 8573 standards.
  • Equipped with differential pressure gauges as standard for easy maintenance and energy efficiency.

Types of Compressed Air Filters

  • Pre-Filter / Particulate Filter (Grade P): Element airflow direction is outside to inside.
  • Coalescing Filter / Oil Removal (Grade Y): Element airflow direction is inside to outside.
  • General Purpose Filter / Water Removal (Grade X): Element airflow direction is inside to outside.
  • Activated Carbon Filter / Odor Removal (Grade A): Element airflow direction is outside to inside.

* For maximum flow rate, multiply the flow rate shown in the main table by the correction factor corresponding to the working pressure.

Important Operational Notes & Ordering Info

  • Grades P, X, and Y are suitable for use with mineral and synthetic oils.
  • Grade A filters must not be used with oil-saturated air without prior filtration from grade P, X, and Y filters.
  • Grade A filter elements should be replaced every 6 months for continued efficiency.
  • Differential pressure gauges are supplied as standard on all filters.
  • Grade A filters will not remove certain gases, including but not limited to carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide.
  • Flow rates are calculated assuming an airflow at 7 bar working pressure. For other pressures, refer to the correction factor table above.
  • All filters conform to the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 97/23/EC.

Ordering Guide: The complete filter model number contains the size and grade (e.g., Filter G250X is a general-purpose filter with a flow rate of 250 m³/h). Replace ‘G’ with ‘M’ when ordering replacement elements.
